Camp Carson, Colorado
The 31st Infantry Division moved from Camp Atterbury, Indiana to Camp Carson, Colorado. 
Camp Atterbury closed after the departure.

I retired at Fort Carson, Colorado in December 2001. About that time the commander of the 7th ID Bayonets, the current division at Ft. Carson, erected a series of displays along the north side of Nelson Road (main post entry road) to commemorate previous divisions stationed at Fort Carson. The attached photo shows the display for the 31st Infantry Division at Fort Carson. I took this photo on 15 April 2005. Notice that the pine trees at left are suffering from the drought.
