Although the USAAF captured He 162s in the Halle area, these seem to have been incomplete aircraft and it is believed that those intended for flight probably came from Leck, where large numbers of serviceable examples had been surrendered to the RAF. This aircraft may have been W Nr 120067 'White 7' which was a He 162 known to have been at Wright Field. Transferred from Freeman Field to No. 803 Special Depot, Park Ridge, on 31 May 1946 for Museum storage.
